A few years ago, a friend of mine ordered me a subscription of More Mag. Yes, this is the mag for over 40 women (hey, I'm 51) but it has a lot of good stuff in it and thought I'd share this resource here. Now, there's a bunch of various stuff in this, but one of the things I like the best is the "firsts after 40" column that's in the back. They always have someone their whose story is inspriing. Check it out. They also have some stuff online at www.more.com/newsletter (to get there newsletter as well as www.more.com for other articles. You need to wade through the advertising but there's some good stuff there. Like there's this one on thrillseekers--five women who took up an adventurous sport after 40. Again, these are for the inspiration. And as we age, I think we need this MORE and MORE! Why? Because we begin to think there's things we can't do. I have this saying I made for myself--"If you don't go down the road, you'll never know where it will lead." I'm sure there's some ancient philosopher that said something similar, however, I try to remember this when I'm afraid of something new, especially something I think I can't do because of whatever reason. We are such a production society--results count. But if we don't achieve what we think we want to achieve or whatever it is we aim for, what does it really matter? As someone said, it's in the journey.
Peace to you all and many blessings!
